I am a long time dry eye pt with multiple severe illnesses. In my long time experience I have found that eye drs., neither optometrists or ophthalmologists take this condition seriously at all. My eye siccs has been increasing, esp. Over the past 2.5 years. I need help but don't know where to find it. I also appreciate the research and effort that DEF has been doing into the safety, or should I say non-safety of eye drops. These drops are expensive and many insurance plans will not pay for them…then to find out how unregulated they are! This is very scary indeed. If I had more money I would certainly donate more, but being chronically ill & disabled makes it very tough financially. Thank you for the worthy work you have embarked upon.
